Amazing Race Project - Knowledge Probe Stations
You will complete four stations (over the course of six days) to learn about the physics concepts you will need to design, build, and test a car that can compete in three different challenges (distance, speed, and collisions). The four stations are: (1) Energy, (2) Speed, Velocity, and Acceleration, (3) Newton's Laws of Motion, and (4) Forces. The materials that you need for these stations are found in Google Classroom. Each station is listed as a separate announcement. Under each station title, you will find a directions document and all of the resources that you need to complete the tasks. After completing a station, you will take a short quiz to be sure that you mastered the concepts required. Once we have a solid foundation, we will begin designing our cars and we will build them after winter break!

Based on feedback from students, I will be posting all of our class materials in Google Classroom for the remainder of the unit.
Parents, if you wish to see these resources, have your student log into Google Classroom and show you what we've been working on. You can sign up to receive an email summary of the announcements that I've posted in Google Classroom as a parent, but you can't actually log into classroom as a student yourself. If you wish to receive these email summaries, please send me an email and I will get you set up. The calendar section of this website will still be updated weekly and will have some links on it, but Google Classroom will be our primary document/resource storage area. Students mainly prefer classroom because they get notifications about new postings on their phones and other devices. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you!
