We are the LINKS seminar! LINKS is a peer-to-peer support program where neuro-typical students learn about autism spectrum disorder as well as other conditions so that they can help support their differently-abled peers in general education settings. Students in LINKS seminar are paired with another student for one hour of the day during the trimester. It might be a core class or an elective. The role of the LINK is to model and encourage appropriate social and academic skills as well as appropriate behavior. Some of the learning materials that we use during seminar can be found below.
